After graduation in 1998 as a Health Occupations Tech Prep student at Socorro High School in El Paso, Christina Camacho attended El Paso Community College while working nights in the health care field. Learning from those early experiences, Christina transferred to Texas State University in San Marcos, where she graduated in 2004 with a degree in Social Work and receiving awards for Outstanding Undergraduate Social Work Student of the Year and Overall Outstanding Social Work Student. Christina plans to enter Columbia University in Fall, 2005 to pursue a Masters Degree in Social Work.
